Female Martial Arts Instructor returns home victorious from Full Contact Kickboxing Tournament

Scotch Plains own, Sharon Serdinsky is an 11 time National Champion and a 2 time World Champion martial artist. She is a 5th degree Black Belt and Instructor of the Korean Art called Taekwondo.

Sharon trains at the famous Serdinsky’s Martial Arts America in Scotch Plains, NJ. Her husband and coach Jeff Serdinsky started the academy back in 1991.

Back in 2008 Sharon set her goals on a much more dangerous competition circuit. She trained extremely hard to compete on the full contact kickboxing circuit. She won her first fight that year on September 21st of 2008. On February 21st, 2010, Sharon competed in another N.J. CCKL (New Jersey Continuous Contact Karate League) full contact kickboxing tournament and won a unanimous decision victory over her opponent. She is moving up the ranks and is already feared as the most dominate fighter in her weight division. She is looking forward to a title fight later in the year.

We are all very proud of Sharon for not only winning her fight, but for setting an example to women of all ages to continue their dreams after pregnancy. She is an outstanding athlete, mom, and an inspiration to all.
